where did summer go?

Where on Earth did Summer took her vacation?

It's only the end of April but it seems as if it's July. It drizzled practically the entire day. Everywhere, I could see people on their raincoats, jackets, caps, carrying umbrellas. Wet, that's how I described this day. And this has been going for about a week now. So much for sun, sand, and sea. Now, it's just clouds, rain, and floods.

Imagine having this kind of weather on almost a daily basis. That is generally the climate in United Kingdom, where they experience an unpredictable weather day after day. I know this because it was discussed during training when I handled a UK telecommunications account last year. This is also reminiscent of the climate in Forks, Washington as described by Stephenie Meyer on her Twilight novel (which halfway through its saga, found myself in a ho-hum state).

Well, having this "wet" weather isn't all that bad. As I was on my way home this afternoon, I realized that I have never seen the trees and the leaves so vibrantly green.

[Thanks, Ken, for this beautiful photo.]
